In November each year, Mount Gambier hosts the renowned Lions National Brass Band Festival. The event includes a marching band parade in the morning and followed by a larger march later in the afternoon. This event is often televised on the local community TV stations.
This festival includes a number of entertainment programs, music shows and competitions that offer cash rewards to the winners. The participants at the event compete for the prestigious Lions Band of the Year Award and also for the KEA Musical Director Award.

Great page just to let you know you have a small date error in the blurb, it is sat 16 th nov, not sat 17 th. I’m sure people will figure it out, but it might confuse a few. Can’t wait for that weekend!
