Rendelsham

Rendelsham is a town situated along the Southern Ports Highway; straddling Millicent and Beachport within the Wattle Range council area in South Australia.

Most of the area is covered in rural and agricultural land, with the primary industries being carrot seed production, cropping, and farming of sheep, cattle, and dairy.

The town is named after a parish located in Suffolk, England. Visitors who are seeking a tranquil, relaxing stay in a rural area often frequent the town. It’s best to bring your vehicle or rent a car so that you have can leisurely explore the nearby attractions.

The Seaview Walking Trail is one of the most popular activities less than 10km away; it’s a scenic place to get some exercise while taking in views of majestic rock formations and beautiful beaches with the occasional glimpse of seabirds.

Beachport Jetty boasts of being one of the country’s longest piers. Fishers and anglers visit the Beachport Jetty for its waters teeming with Whiting, Salmon, Mulloway, and Mullet. Its stunning sandy beaches offer terrific and safe swimming. Millicent Swimming Lake and the Beachport Surf Beach are also ideal for swimming.

Canunda National Park is known for a spectacular coastline enhanced by jagged cliffs, while surf beaches promise adrenaline-filled excitement for surfers. Canunda has a ton of great activities for outdoor lovers such as snorkelling, bushwalking, and much more.

For some art and culture, head over to Ant’s Redgum Gallery which showcases the exquisite artworks of Anthony ‘Ant’ Martin; a renowned disabled artist. There are around 60 Australian hardwood sculptures on display – most of which are carved out of redgum, while others are made out of sheoak and stringybark.
