Tara Raceway

The Tara Raceway is the premiere greyhound racing track in Mount Gambier.

Races are held weekly on Thursdays, with more significant race events held at different times throughout the year.

The track of Tara Raceway features a sandy surface, as well as a cable lure system. Though there are no facilities for travelling trainers nor are there kennels, but you may be able to find these amenities nearby.

The raceway’s facilities include a TAB, bar, canteen facilities, a children’s playground, car parking and comfortable seating. All race meetings are covered on Sky Racing.

Tara Raceway is the home of the Mount Gambier Greyhound Racing Club. Trials take place every Saturday and Wednesday, starting at 9am. Greyhounds are required to be kennelled 45 minutes after each race.

Tara Raceway is located at Lake Terrace East in Mount Gambier, and spectator entry is free.
