Mount Gambier Catholic Parish

The Mount Gambier Catholic Parish, also known as the St. Paul’s Catholic Church, serves the Port MacDonnell and Mount Gambier religious communities.

Built in the 1800s, the church was established in the region where the famous Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop begun her work with Father Julian Tenison Woods to spread Catholic education.

The church community is welcoming to anyone, with weekend mass 6pm on Saturdays, and 11am on Sundays.

The sacraments held here include confession, baptism, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, family masses, and Holy Hour with Benediction.

The parish community also helps with pastoral care for the sick and elderly, the Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults, liturgy, catering, and the St. Paul’s Indoor Bowls Club.

Should you need assistance from the church, please feel free to get in touch with them. St. Paul’s Hall, just beside the church, is a venue for community and social gatherings, as well as occasional meetings. It’s also where the Monday school is held.

Mount Gambier Catholic Parish is located in the heart of Mount Gambier, along Penola Road.
