Browns Bay

Browns Bay is a beautiful fishing and surfing spot between the Victorian border and Port MacDonnell.

The beach is also popular for water sports enthusiasts, but it’s just as beautiful if you’re looking for a laid-back, relaxing spot.

The bay features two stunning white-sand beaches. Since there are no facilities here (except toilets and a picnic table in the car park), visitors should bring food, umbrellas, and picnic blankets.

The entire bay spans 6.3km, though swimmers should be extra careful at the beach’s green and danger points.

You can park at the beachfront parking area if you’re taking a car or campervan. The car park area has toilets and is pet-friendly.

Several unsealed areas around Browns Bay have become popular camping spots, ideal for visitors looking for quiet time on a gorgeous white-sand beach.

Some other beaches worth checking out are not too far from Browns Bay: Geltwood Beach and McIntyre Beach.
