Browns Bay is a beautiful fishing and surfing spot located between the Victorian border and Port MacDonnell.
The beach itself is also popular for water sports enthusiasts, but it’s just as beautiful if you’re looking for a laid-back spot to relax.
Browns Bay Beach, 4WD Driving, Picnic Table & Toilet, Eight Mile Creek SA
The entire bay spans 6.3km, though keep in mind that the beach has Green and Danger points where swimmers should be extra careful.
If you’re taking a car or campervan, you can park at the beachfront parking area. The car park area has toilets and is pet-friendly.
Several unsealed areas around Browns Bay have become popular camping spots; ideal for visitors looking for some quiet time on a gorgeous white-sand beach.
Not too far from Browns Bay are some other beaches worth checking out: Geltwood Beach and McIntyre Beach.
Can you have dogs on the beach at browns bay port Mac Sa?
Hi Vicki,
You are fine to take dogs down onto the beach – you will probably find a few down there at any given time.
Also if you have a 4WD capable vehicle, you can drive down onto the sand to find a great spot.
Thanks
Michael
