Bellum Hotel

The Bellum Hotel is a historic country pub situated on the Limestone Coast at the base of the Mount Schank volcanic crater.

It’s a short drive south from Mount Gambier on the Riddoch Highway (aka Bay Road) between Mount Gambier and Port MacDonnell.

The Bellum offers great food, a restaurant and bar, darts, 8 ball and air hockey, and gaming and function facilities.  It’s the perfect venue for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions.  It has a large dining room, a private, intimate, rustic dining space which they refer to as ‘the Cantina’, a north-facing alfresco area and a rear courtyard/beer garden.  The restaurant and Cantina are also available for daytime conferences, with pre-arranged catering provided for lunch, and morning or afternoon tea.

The Bellum also offers budget-friendly accommodation.  Surrounded by lush farmland, it is ideal for tourists who want to get out and explore this beautiful region. Their accommodation is also ideal for farming, drilling and silage contractors, and backpackers working at the nearby farms.  They offer three comfortable motel rooms: two rooms can sleep up to 4 people, and one room can sleep up to 5 people. Rooms are charged at a flat rate. The hotel also has a large grassed area for self-contained RV pub campers.

The Bellum offers discounted meals on Tuesdays (schnitzel night) and Fridays (burger night) and a Happy Hour from 5pm – 7pm every Friday. They also offer a mixed grill on Thursday nights and grazing platters on Saturday nights. They offer a fresh summer menu with a selection of house-made desserts.
