Wehl Street Theatre

Wehl Street Theatre is a premier performance and entertainment venue in Mount Gambier.

It is housed in a beautiful, elegant heritage building but recent renovations have ensured that it complies with the high standards necessary to produce world-class theatrical performances.

Some of the recent additions include brand-new lighting, technical boxes, dressing rooms, raked seats, a kitchen, and a piano. Visitors are invited to also come view movies in a well-equipped viewing room with a projector.

Come check out the East Wing Room while you’re here; it’s completely carpeted and air-conditioned, can accommodate 50 people, and is equipped with a refrigerator and an urn.

Throughout the year, the Wehl Street Theatre plays host to numerous award-winning and local shows. Some of these include the Vocal and Choral Competitions, Mount Gambier Eisteddfod, the Limestone Coast Choral and Vocal Showcase, and many more.

The Centre stage Community Theatre Inc. oversees operations and regular updates to the facilities. Wheelchair access and accessible toilets are provided for the disabled.
