Melanoma March Mt Gambier

The Melanoma March Mount Gambier joined the Melanoma March campaign for the first time in 2017 and will take to the streets again in 2018.

The Melanoma March is a fun community event where participants can walk or march along a short course to raise awareness about melanoma as well as funds for life-changing research.

Melanoma March Mount Gambier 2018 Dates, Blue Lake Walk & Fun Run

The Australian Melanoma Research Foundation (AMRF) are delighted to again be joining forces with Melanoma Institute Australia for Melanoma March. The AMRF is a not-for-profit charity organisation established by a group of dedicated volunteers to provide funding for research into novel immune based treatments for melanoma. The AMRF also have a strong commitment to melanoma awareness and education within the community, as well as providing support services to anybody affected by melanoma or seeking information regarding melanoma treatment.

In this event, walkers, runners and marchers will commence from the Blue Lake Reserve and will follow the track around the beautiful Blue Lake. The Blue Lake is approximately 3kms south of Mt Gambier’s city centre and is located on the corner of John Watson Drive and McCormick Road.

Registration on the day opens from 8am and the march will commence from 9am. The overall event will conclude by 11am and participants should register in advance by emailing: event@melanoma.org.au

There plenty of free parking available around the Blue Lake. So come out for a great day of exercise as well as help raise money for a fantastic cause.

There are heaps of things to see and do whilst in Mount Gambier, so why not make the trip and spend some time in this beautiful part of Australia.
